About Us

Grief TREE provides

Grief and loss counseling for individuals & families

At GriefTREE, we care for patients who are grieving losses after the passing of a loved one or following a life transition or traumatic event. Grief is the normal response of sorrow, challenging emotions, and confusion that comes from losing someone or something important to you. When grief is traumatic or becomes complicated or persistent, therapeutic intervention can support you in your healing process and help you better cope with your loss.

Grief and loss counseling can help in the following situations:

Lisa Zucker, MSW, LCSW, CT

Lisa Zucker graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Religion and completed her MSW at the University of Vermont. After working for nearly ten years in nonprofits and medical settings, Lisa opened her private practice in 2011. Her real-life experiences with grief and loss, coupled with her years of working with chronically and terminally ill patients and their families, make her a compassionate and skilled therapist. In 2018, Lisa was awarded Social Worker of the Year by the Broward Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Following the tragedy at MSD High School in Parkland, Lisa became trained in EMDR and was a founding board member for Professionals United for Parkland. The loss of both her beloved Dad and Brother in 2019 and 2021 led Lisa to recognize the need to grow GriefTREE by bringing skilled, passionate therapists on board to support grieving people on a larger scale. Lisa works closely alongside her team of therapists to ensure that anyone reaching out to GriefTREE receives the best care possible.

Most recently, Erin has been a primary DBT therapist running DBT skills groups and trauma groups. Some of the interventions Erin implements in her clinical practice include EMDR (a trauma processing intervention), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and sex therapy. Erin’s passion is to help others find their path to positive mental health. In addition to being a dedicated therapist, Erin enjoys playing soccer, scuba diving, traveling, and raising butterflies.

Steve Bradbery, LMHC, NCC

South Florida native Steve Bradbery spent the first half of his career working in technology before deciding to let a long held desire take fruition and become a mental health therapist. After the passing of a loved one, Steve decided to go back to school and obtain a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Steve is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). The NBCC recognizes counselors who voluntarily apply and meet rigorous professional standards. Steve’s experience includes counseling a diverse cultural range of individuals and families on a wide range of issues including anger, anxiety, depression, substance use, mood disorders, couples grief work and family conflict. Steve has worked at South Florida agencies including Turning Point Mental Health Center in Plantation and The Faulk Center For Counseling in Boca Raton. Steve has also worked at ChildNet / Broward County, providing individual and family therapy to clients seeking reunification with children and teenagers who were removed from their homes for reasons of abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Steve is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and has advanced training in treating anxiety and depression. He has a strong interest in the Internal Family Systems approach to counseling, in which the therapist assists clients in recognizing the competition between the various different parts of their personalities that often leads to inner conflict. Above all, Steve practices unconditional positive regard for all clients, and believes that the seeds of healing exist within us all. He strives to help each and every client uncover their own inner strength and wisdom.
